Hypertension

More than 50 million Americans have high blood pressure, and only about one-third of with hypertension have their condition treated and controlled to safe levels. The physicians of the Cedars-Sinai Hypertension Center have been advocates for improved blood pressure screening because treating hypertension reduces the risk of premature cardiovascular disability, renal disease and death.

The Cedars-Sinai Hypertension Center was identified by the American Society of Hypertension to be one of the first five certified hypertension centers of excellence. Under the direction of Dr. Ronald Victor, the multi-disciplinary team of cardiologists, endocrinologists, gynecologists, internists, nephrologists, pharmacists, pathologists, radiologists, and surgeons aim to provide the best possible care for patients in the treatment of their hypertension.
